With the resourceful Mekong River Delta, Vietnam is a fertile land with various crop species and farm types. It is expected to become one of the largest markets of agricultural drone that fits into the small and scattered land holdings. Recently, the busy season for agricultural drone operation just unveiled following the pace of spring farming.
Young people are trained as XAG's drone pilots to serve farmers in the rice paddy for direct seeding and crop spraying, laying a foundation for a good harvest. As the government plans to expand the farming area of cash crops such as banana and mango, the use of agricultural drones can be seen in more plantations for the benefit of smallholders.
A busy day starts with careful body check of the drone that is necessary before every operation. "Don't worry, I assure you our dear pal will recover to the best status in a few minutes."
Sometimes you need to have a wit of improvisation: while the plantation is inaccessible by road, river and stream could lead our way. Load your whole gears to the deck and off we go!
Suited up in the XAG-branded sunshield outfit, the drone pilot gets himself a thorough protection to avoid sun burn. It only takes a few seconds to assemble the battery into the V40 agricultural drone.
Quickly deploying the drone to the rice paddy for fighting pests and diseases, the pilot has been getting used to the gossip from onlookers. "Fellas, hold your curiosity for a while, let the spread effect talk."
Moving to a fruit plantation for another service order. No matter how many times you watched, the moment of drone taking off to the fields is always eye-catching to farmers.
Shimmering in red lights, the XAG P40 agricultural drone with the RevoCast system flies into the sunset for rice seeding. The final round of operation is about to end.
Watching the drone returns, these two XAG pilots enjoy the peaceful moment of finishing a busy day on farm. How's about the result of work? You can easily tell the work result from the proud look on their faces.
Shuttling from rice fields to fruit orchards, young people now make up Vietnam's crop service teams who can properly harness drone technology with their enthusiasm and profession. As young faces and new tech showing up across the agricultural land of Mekong Delta River, isn't that one of the most beautiful scenes in spring?
