2018 September, Hong Kong - XAG showcased intelligent agricultural technology products P Series Plant Protection UAS, C2000 Intelligent Surveying UAS and Field Monitor at InnoTech Expo 2018 Hong Kong. The expo had over 270 items on display, attracted over 100,000 attendees from both professional field and the public, together to witness the innovations brought by China’s leading science and technology organisations.
The event aimed to promote impressive science and tech advancements initiated by Chinese talents, as well as to raise public understandings of China’s tech innovations both from ancient times and modern days.
“Industry”, “Agriculture” and “Healthcare” are the themes at the expo, presented by leading research institutes across China with their most remarkable projects such as nature preserving motorways, high speed railway containing bridge, instant aflatoxin reader, advanced lung scanner, etc.
XAG representing one of the leading innovations of modern agriculture, introduced its comprehensive Smart Agriculture Solution. Visitors saw documentaries of fully autonomous Plant Protection UAS, and were able to see the real products on sight, which helps familiarizing them with the use of UASs in agriculture.
Visitors were impressed by the intelligent tech used in agriculture including precision positioning, surveying, and spraying. Furthermore, the use of cloud computing and big data technology gained recognition by the public, enhanced their confidence in ensuring food safety and sustainable farming.
InnoTech Expo 2018 also showcased the latest scientific research results in Hong Kong, providing all-rounded innovation presence of China to the public.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of InnoTech Expo 2018, the Chief Executive of Hong Kong SAR, Mrs. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngo, said that she proposed that Hong Kong should make great efforts to develop innovation and technology, and had achieved significant success in less than a year. Hong Kong had gained massive support from the central government of China only by receiving research funds, but also bringing out talent schemes and joining the Great Bay Area projects. She hopes that Hong Kong will become an international centre for scientific and technological innovation, and to attract enterprises to invest more resources in scientific research.
Dong Jianhua, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and Chairman of the Our Hong Kong Foundation, stated that science and technology are the fundamental motive force for the development of human civilisation. He is proud to see such abundant tech achievements in China, and Hong Kong will become centre of international tech innovations with its excellent infrastructure, talents and resources.
